EAA PROGRAM

Each spring, we invite 11th grade students to submit applications for Emerging Artist Awards.  Two students receive scholarships for 2-D and 3-D studio art courses at local art programs. At the 8th grade level, art instructors recognize five students from each studio discipline, who receive Book Awards selected by their teachers.

Winners of 2019 Emerging Artist Awards were announced at the WPS Annual     K-12 Art Show at the Main Library on Tuesday, May 7, 2019

In 2020 we will again hold this EAA program, and celebrate the winners at the Art Show, which features pieces created by students throughout the Wellesley Public School district.

As a reminder, Wellesley Parents Supporting Art Students (WPSAS) is dedicated to supporting students interested in the fine and visual arts in the Wellesley Public Schools and to assisting faculty with the goals of nurturing these students.

Membership is open to all parents and guardians of children who are enrolled in the Wellesley Public Schools, WPS alumni, and friends residing outside of our town who wish to further artistic creativity in Wellesley.
