As a so called liberal arts institution that is supposed to uphold so called women’s issues. This allowance and acceptance of an anti abortion speaker is treason. Freedom of speech must be in the line of freedom. It is repugnant that a historically women’s college would allow such an explicit and direct violence to allow against womb holders to take place. Abortion rights are human rights. Look around the world to progressive movements and it is undeniable.
Having this speaker on campus with a full police escort and no protest from Paula Johnson is direct treason to the rights of anyone with a womb- who should be able to make their own decisions about their own body and life. The issue of abortion or anti abortion was never so bipartisan until politicians manipulated it as a hot topic to get more blind votes. Get your rosaries out of our ovaries.
Reparations must be made. How is the health care Wellesley offers? It must cover the full spectrum of health including free and safe abortions. Wellesley also must have a pro-choice speaker come to campus. This is the only humanitarian action. As an alumna I’m eager to hear what students on campus are doing about it.

The full article also hints that that will also fight to the death to see that those believing in unfavored ideas not be allowed to espouse their ideas. It makes students seem as irrational as Trump sycophants.

The administration, seemingly criticized by students for almost any decision, does understand that the Constitution establishes freedom of speech, which courts will uphold

So often students rail against the abuse of power by “the system”; you are not fighting abuse, you have learned to use it . Welcome to the world of hypocrisy.
